But it wasn't good enough
It wasn't my best
I'm sure I'll write a better one
Tomorrow
I was going to tell
my sisters and brother
They're a cut above
Compared to them there is no other
But I laid my phone aside
I didn't want to grow their pride
Besides I can always encourage them
Tomorrow
What if God said
“I was going to grace you today
Send a thousand blessings your way
But today is not your favorite day
So I'll wait and bless you
Tomorrow”
What if God had waited another day
Before sending salvation our way?
What if God delayed!
And let satan raid
our hopes
What if God said “I tire
I've lost my desire
There's no hurry to help them
I'll be more inclined
This mess to unwind
Tomorrow”
As my procrastination grows
My Christian growth slows
to a crawl
Waiting till tomorrow
Only brings sorrow
There's power in the seed
There's more power in the deed
With no watering of intention
The seed is caught in endless detention
of its potential
Tomorrow is a deadly thing
So much heartache does it bring
Apologies never spoken
Hearts being broken
Today brings power
When you seize the hour
The power of now
packs quite the WOW
What if I didn't wait to call my friend
To not neglect our friendship
Not let it end
What if I didn't let my dreams end in delay
I know my next step
And I will do it
Today
Tomorrow
Brings sorrow
If you delay from today
Today brings power
For you seize the hour
You do not wait
For the moment to abate
The power of now
packs quite the wow!
What if instead of always
Waiting to begin
I vow that today is the win!
Instead of losing through so much delay
I resolve to begin
Today
Today
The word has such power
Unleash it this hour
The word is NOW
It packs a pow
Unleash it
Today
