I need God’s help to keep from wrong.
It’s He who gives me strength and peace.
My foolish fears, He makes to cease.
With spirt willing, flesh that’s weak,
It’s His provision that I seek.
He gives me strength and dignity.
Thus I rejoice with what will be.
In every trouble, every strife,
He is the stronghold of my life.
He’s my protection and my song.
He guides my footsteps all day long.
Through all my days, I’ll seek God’s face,
His love that nothing can erase.
When Satan works hard to deceive,
Then I’m assured God will not leave.
When I am found too weak to stand.
He holds me up with His right hand.
God knows my body is but dust.
From His creation, it was thus.
He'll be with me where ere I go.
Like Joshua, I’ve proved this so.
He gives me courage not to fear
With knowledge He is always near.
When I am weak and powerless,
I know God's people, He will bless,
That in my weakness, His strength’s found,
And His joy in me will abound.
And when I go to God in prayer,
The Holy Spirit meets me there.
No matter what my need may be,
His Spirit intercedes for me.
