Of Jesus, God’s own Son,
Have left a trail so we can see
The great work He had done.
Apostles who were close to Him
Left words to tell His story
And promises He made to them
To be with Him in glory.
If we will follow that same route
Of those who were His friend,
We’ll share the hope that He gave them
Of heaven without end.
The road to follow is not wide.
The Lord, Himself, said thus,
But He has more than power enough
To help each one of us.
Our Savior’s with us all the time
Through any kind of strife.
The record made of His commands
Can guide us through this life.
For those who follow in our path,
With need to show the way
That leads them to the love of God
As He did in that day.
