In circles, which while hours passed would grow
As we would travel round and round and round.
It seemed that never we’d reach higher ground
But only ever wander to and fro.
The road to Grandma’s house was greatly wound.
The tires that upon the road would pound
Made music for a song we came to know
As we would travel round and round and round.
Each summer through the mountains we were bound
To Grandma’s house, where we all loved to go.
The road to Grandma’s house was greatly wound.
The beauty we saw there would us astound
When flowers on the hillsides made a show
As we would travel round and round and round.
The joy at journey's end would finally abound
When hugs and greetings caused the tears to flow.
The road to Grandma’s house was greatly wound
As we would travel round and round and round.
