Have you ever stopped to listen in
To flowers in the spring
That raise their heads in honor to
The greatness of the King?
The roses trill of Jesus’ love
And love for one another,
That’s found in earthly families
And for a Christian brother,
And the violets hum along.
A tulip choir in pastel robes
Presents a sweet refrain,
A psalm that‘s sung quite tenderly
In praise of Jesus’ name,
And the violets hum along.
The daisies sing of innocence
Because our Savior died—
The sacrifice He made for us,
Forgiveness to provide,
And the violets hum along
The lilies, dressed in purest white,
Sing hymns of resurrection.
The hope because the Lord arose
Abounds in their selections,
And the violets hum along.
The daffodils arrayed in gold,
Sing heaven’s melody
With Jesus near and loved one’s dear.
How wondrous that will be!
And the violets hum along.
So stop one day and listen in.
What joy the sound will bring
As you hum with the violets
While all the flowers sing.
