To choose good over evil and right over wrong,
While striving to live for You all-the-day long.
Lord, make me to be a tower of strength,
Empowered by You for each battle I face
With knowledge that You are supplying the grace.
Lord, make me to be a tower of compassion
For people in sorrow and people in pain,
With prayer that Your comfort and peace they will gain.
Lord, make me to be a tower of humility,
Without pride in self, but with all praise to You,
For Your name the honor in all that I do.
Lord, make me to be a tower of wisdom.
Fill me with knowledge Your Word does impart
To share in these truths with the needy of heart.
Lord, make me to be a tower of honor,
Truthful and faithful in word and in deed,
Obeying the precepts You taught us to heed.
Lord, make me to be a tower of love that’s like Yours
For all those who love me and all those who don’t,
And all those who serve You and all those who won’t.
