Careless compromise
Grow spider webs
Choking my soul
Little white lies
Whispered news
Birth cavernous cankers
Rotting my throat
Life longs to reign
But Death consumes
Breath by breath
The sulphurous realm
Moves in
Anger unchecked
A lick of bitterness
Stains like blood
On guilty hands
I crash down the Gavel
Withholding forgiveness
Hammering steel spikes
Into my own coffin
Light seeks to reign
But Darkness consumes
Shadows grows longer
The sulphurous realm
Moves in
BUT GOD
Rich in grace and mercy
Bound by stubborn love
Changes my destiny
With His spotless blood
Suddenly free from prison
No longer captive
I reap innocence
Where death was planted
Life now reigns
Death is defeated
Breath by Breath
The Kingdom of God
Is established
Truth, repentance, grace
Replace selfish excuses
Loving God and others
My daily seeds to plant
Forgiveness, joy, peace
Received must now be shared
I pick the flowers of Heaven
And scatter Jesus to the world
Light now reigns
Darkness destroyed
Light breaks forth
The Kingdom of God
Is expanding
