Exhaled by rainbow-tinted blossoms.
Though tender velvet petals cry with tears of dew,
They do not worry about tomorrow.
Hibiscus blooms, dramatic in presentation,
Outperform all the rest in size.
Though their loveliness lasts only a day,
They do not worry about tomorrow.
Fragrant creamy gardenias on glossy green leaves
Act with enchantment in high humidity.
Though they can’t survive when air is dry,
They do not worry about tomorrow.
Bright red poppies, brilliant chorus line,
Dance to and fro in festive celebration.
Though a sometimes symbol of death,
They do not worry about tomorrow.
Gorgeous peonies, lushest of all the flowers,
Strut like royalty across the stage.
Though heavy blossoms may break their stems,
They do not worry about tomorrow.
Easter lilies softly set the scene for inspiration,
Their purest white a symbol of new life.
Though endangered by harsh winter winds,
They do not worry about tomorrow.
The cast of flowers all together presents a spectacle
Of unforgettable elegance.
Though their beauty may fade away,
They do not worry about tomorrow.
Like the flowers upon the stage,
Though never so dazzling, shall I
Cast off worries about tomorrow,
For God watches over us all.
