Prayers that sprung like a flowing fountain,
Tempted by Sin, though standing His ground,
By Satan’s ties, He could not be bound.
He stood for you before all temptation,
To save your soul without reservation,
No greater love have hearts ever seen,
Than the love of God, so pure and clean.
He stood for you as he carried His cross,
When all of a mankind were a sinful loss,
A King among men in a crown of thorn,
The greatest Man to ever be born.
He stood for you for you that stormy day,
Beaten and tortured and carried away,
Nailed to a cross in humiliation,
Believers looked on in desperation.
He stood for you and released the thief,
Who hung at His side with sole disbelief,
He petitioned the Father to forgive,
So the sinner would eternally live.
He stood for you when He rose again,
No longer on earth to suffer the pain,
To His Holy Father He gave His all.
For those of you who heard His call.
He stood for you with mercy and grace,
When tragedy met you face to face,
He caught your feet when you were falling,
Though you never once deserved His calling.
The time has come to stand for your Savior,
For the love of Christ, to earn His favor,
Signs and wonders shall follow you now,
Stand up for Jesus and humbly bow.
