day
after day,
after day,
after day…
as her illness
keeps her confined,
so many thoughts
torment her mind.
Inside her walls,
days
turn to weeks,
to months,
to years…
her limitations
keep her locked away,
she rarely sees
the light of day.
Inside her walls,
time
after time,
after time,
after time…
she attempts
to explain
an existence
so constrained.
Inside her walls,
tear
after tear,
after tear,
after tear…
flows down her cheeks,
falls out of frustration
as she tries to navigate
her situation.
Inside her walls,
days
pass her by,
and by,
and by…
as she’s locked in place,
alone, confined,
not involved,
as if frozen in time.
Inside her walls,
prayer,
after prayer,
after prayer,
after prayer…
conversing with the One
who truly understands,
knowing her life
is in His hands.
Inside her walls,
waiting,
and waiting,
and waiting,
and waiting…
even in a life
that is sealed,
looking for His purpose
to be revealed.
