You wrapped up my heart with your story I shall not easily forget this, nor will I wish to.

Thank you for this poignant heartache. G
So sad. Alzheimer's is a horrible disease- right up there with cancer, I say. A woman in my TOPS group also had early onset. It was terrible watching her loosing her mind and life. She died a year and half ago. Her sweet husband still attends our group. He still wears the wedding band. Really so sad.
On topic and held my attention all the way through. This disease is hard at any age, but early onset especially, and so sad for the kids.
What can I say...but so profoundly true on every level this piece. This disease is such a heartbreaker.

I have watched many newly diagnosed, and many leave this earth, with this "insidious and horrible" killer of body, and mind...but, thankfully, one thing it doesn't can never kill ones' soul.

Well written,

I thought there might be a lot of dementia stories this week, but yours felt fresh. It was practically unheard of in the young in the 70s. Seeing it through a 12 yo eyes also made it fresh. I felt such emotion for everyone. Congratulations on your EC. Happy Dance!
