Give morning its due,
Let day break from night,
Rejoice as dawn spreads light.
Shake off the gloom,
Let the fresh breath of dawning,
Cast down your mourning.
Flood your soul with praises,
Shout to the heavens,
For new mercies given.
Bow down to worship
Who reigns on high,
And gilds the sky
With golden rays,
That stretch to earth,
And join in Nature’s mirth
Celebrate creation,
As flowers unfold their hands,
And trees break out in dance.
Lift up your heart,
Exchange its heaviness
For my lovingkindness.
Lift up your head
Put on my strength
And the garment of faith
Give ear to My voice
I’ve called you by name,
You are mine. I proclaim,
I will not forsake,
You are my begotten,
Whom I’ve not forgotten.
This is your day
That I have made
Be jubilant. Be glad.
Consider not the night,
For morning has come.
Let nothing alloy,
I am your peace, your source of Joy.
