But in love, smitten.
Heart overtaken,
The world forsaken...
In love with a pig.
All argument lost,
Caution just tossed,
Gone was all logic,
Love, his one topic...
He danced a jig.
Mummy said, "Oh dear,
Please just stop and hear,
This will never work,
You've gone berserk...
You can't love a pig."
But with solid faith,
Not playing it safe,
He just had to go,
And let the pig know...
His love was that big.
He faced real danger,
Courage no stranger,
Rex never dozes,
Guarding the roses...
He needed a sprig.
With all his nerves tense,
Approaching the fence,
And with no pardon,
Entered the garden...
A rose for his pig.
But Rex was so quick,
He had a short wick,
And in kitties face,
A growl with no grace...
And teeth oh so big.
Kit mustered his faith,
"Let Rex give a chase,
But dodging I'll get,
My love a rose yet...
I'll impress my pig."
He ducked and he wove,
And dodging he dove,
Avoiding those teeth,
And running beneath...
Claws so sharp and big.
At last he was safe,
A rose won by faith,
Once more on his way,
He had lots to say...
To sweet little pig.
Then out of the blue,
A voice, "Who are you?
And where do you goes,
With that one red rose...
Ahhh! Love is a-jig."
"Yes I'm in true love,
It fits like a glove,
She is my bacon,
I'll not be shaken...
She will be my pig."
"You are mistaken,
Pork chops 'n bacon,
Cannot replace cat,
And that is just that...
Now give up this jig."
"And just who are you,
Saying what to do?
Why should I take note,
Who gives you a vote...
On issues so big?
"My small little friend,
I'm both start and end,
I'm all that there is,
Answers to the quiz...
And you are no pig."
"Now sit and take note,
Of all that I wrote,
It wasn't a joke,
Unequally yoked...
And then think real big."
The moral to this,
Should never be missed,
Your faith can be real,
But a misplaced deal...
A farce and a jig.
A rock solid faith,
Does not make you safe,
Unless the foundation,
Is true salvation...
Don't marry a pig!
