A prince of Royal lineage, but He was assigned.
“Go to earth, Son. Get my Kingdom back. Show the people love and bring them back. The cost, dear One, is your sinless life.”
In obedience, He came;
To a people marred by sin and bound by laws.
No place for love, just commandments and laws.
Total failure!
He lived as a man, mixed with the poor, healed the sick, fed the hungry, and raised the dead, yet He was Lord.
And He was saying to them, “The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
{Luke 6:5}.
The earth rulers hated him
Men such as Herod the King, Pilate, the Pharisees, Scribes, and the High Priests were rulers of the people who rejected him and insulted him at every opportunity.
“...the scribes and the Pharisees began to be very hostile and to interrogate Him about many subjects, plotting against Him to catch Him in something He might say. {Luke 11:53-54}.
“And so they watched Him closely, and sent spies who pretended to be righteous, in order that they might catch Him in some statement so that they could hand Him over to the jurisdiction and authority of the governor”[Luke 20:20}.
“And Herod, together with his soldiers, treated Him with contempt and mocked Him,...”
{Luke 23:11}.
The final insult at His crucifixion was the inhumane inclusion of a crown made of thorns, that was placed on His head as an imitation crown. They were mocking, insulting, and torturing Him. His completion of prophecy was the price paid. He was the Lamb who was slain for the world.
{Revelation 13:8}.
In our present day, many who follow Christ, the King are being targeted by evil leaders; just as Jesus was. These leaders worship false gods, so the mention of Jesus is an insult to them, and in some countries, Christians are murdered for their faith in Jesus.
Jesus gave His all to show us love, yet those who hate him think they are honoring their false gods when they commit hateful acts and insult or murder Christians.
