I am so proud to call myself an American and so humble to have been blessed to be a part of this great land. It was known throughout the world as the Promise Land, a diamond in the rough. People from all nations immigrated to America looking for their fortune. What they found was an opportunity, and with perseverance and hard work, it became to them a land flowing with milk and honey. My parents were one of those who came, and I am so thankful for their endeavors to provide a better life for their family.

America was founded by those who wanted the freedom to worship God as they chose. It is a nation that was carved out by the sheer desire for something better. It brought hope to those who had come to the end of themselves. Many left countries where their people were dying of hunger. Others fled because of war and spiritual persecution. Some came because of the great poverty they endured and to rise above their station in life. Each had their own reason to leave the stability of what they knew well for the uncertainty of what they did not know at all.

Most found what they were looking for. Even though many faced much of what they had left behind, they were willing to sacrifice for what lay ahead. They wanted a better life for their children and future generations. They could see the potential in this great land to provide all they hoped for and more

They embraced their new country and took pride in the fact they were Americans. They gave their all to protect their new homeland. They fought for freedom as proud Americans, willing to fight and die for this country they now called home. They were joined together as one, it mattered not their color or race; they were Americans one and all.

What has become of this great land that held so much promise? We were a nation that was so grateful for this beautiful country that God had given us. It was a gem among nations looked at in awe by the world. We have lost our standing and are on the brink of disaster because we accepted the gift but rejected the giver. We have taken God out of our schools, courts, and even some churches. We have become a Godless nation, accepting His blessings without giving Him thanks, not just in words but in action. Let us unite as a nation to do all we can to restore this country to its former glory. If not, future generations will be studying about a country that was once called America.

This is an interesting article. You touched on the topic and have a clear message and make some great points.

The concluding paragraph is super. To support that ending, take out the clichés, and give one or two active examples that put the reader into the story. This will actively engage the reader to accept that challenge at the end.
