The 'unborn' is a challenging topic, so I try not to get involved in any discussion about it.

Some people are very bold with their comments and judgments. And others are dogmatic in their belief that the unborn is expendable. Because it is a controversial topic, I would address it with love and in the light of God's Word.

Some women find themselves pregnant in tragic and difficult situations. They probably were raped, molested, or had some mental or deadly disease.

What can I say to such a person if they want to get rid of the unborn child?
Of course, I will empathize with them and ask God to give me the wisdom to put myself in their shoes and the understanding to choose the right words and the scripture that will be just right for their circumstances, and I must do it prayerfully. "When all is said and done," the choice is theirs, for every heart knows its bitterness.

But life is a blessing. The Bible tells us that God knows us from the womb. Therefore, no one should be deemed expendable. Life begins in the womb; God has a plan and a purpose for life from the mother's womb.

The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 1:5 NKJV, "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; Before you were born, I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations."

I believe that I was an unwanted child. My mother died when I was about nine months old. She never lived to tell me the story of her pregnancy. She died in a mental institution due to mental illness.

My mother and father eloped and married because her family didn't like my father. As a result, they disinherited her and gave her no support during her illness. They must have wanted me to die, but I came forth.

My mother couldn't care for me, and her family didn't want to have me. My father's mother was a Christian, so she decided to take care of me. I understood that when they took me from my mother, they threw me to my father's mother instead of giving me to her. If not for a church sister that caught me, I would have fallen to the ground and probably died. But God, who is rich in mercy, saved my life.

I grew up with my father's mother, who showed me the way to eternal life, and I am a Christian today, serving the Lord with all my heart.

There are a lot of tragedies and grief the unwanted child can go through. As well as a woman can suffer much during an unwanted pregnancy.

But God's Word remains the same. Job 31:15 NKJV, "Did not He who made me in the womb make them?" And Psalm 139:14 NKJV, "I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well."
Psalm 127:3 NKJV: "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward."

I believe the Word of God, but who am I to judge another? I stand by grace.
