My heart beats inside my chest
Is now the time that I shall wrest
the control of my life
and all of my strife
from my tightfisted control
and let myself become whole?
The excitement of the spirit
God is calling, can you hear it?
Pound pound pound
The gentle knock I've long ignored
is insistent now, it is the Lord!
Now I let Him fully in
to sweep out every besetting sin
To give up the good so I can have the best
To give up the trivial so I can truly be blessed
Pound pound pound
Construction once again begins
How it turns out I am on pins
and needles wondering
Pound pound pound
Once again my heart beats loud
but it is good for I have vowed
to follow the Lord on this exciting quest
to be His disciple to be my best
and to follow the beat of His
