We all want to feel fresh every day, but what about spiritually? Do we go on day in and day out doing the same old thing? Do we cleanse our spiritual selves by immersing ourselves in the Holy presence of God?

I know I come short so many times of just this. How can I expect God to pour in new wine if my vessel is old. It would just burst out and not do me or anyone else any good.

“And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the wine will burst the skins—and the wine is destroyed, and so are the skins. But new wine is for fresh wineskins.” (Mark‬ ‭2:22‬ ‭ESV‬‬)

I want to please My Lord, but I fall short because I do not take the time to sit at His feet. Then when I do I allow thoughts to invade and I give up rather then calmly persevering. Oh, we try to blame the evil one, but that too often becomes a cop out.

As Christians we have the power to overcome, but we must and I repeat must, immerse ourselves in the clean and refreshing waters of Jesus.

“but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.””
John‬ ‭4:14‬ ‭ESV‬‬

I pray that as I write this that it will touch many hearts that need mending and renewal. I pray that we all will remember that the one and only name, Jesus, is just a whisper away. He hears us. Let’s immerse ourselves in His living waters. Amen.
