STRAIGHTENED on a cross with all His body weight on a sharp punishing nail that held his feet together. Up above were his hands cruelly secured by inhuman nails. He was stretched physically and spiritually in this final act to secure our deliverance!
TRIALS and troubles came daily into His thirty earthly life of faith. Wearing the armour of God and filled with the Holy Spirit, He fasted and prayed in faith and spent time with His Father while showing love, healing the sick and raising the dead.
REBUKING the enemy was another tool He used. Even Peter was stretched. In fact, they were all stretched in Gethsemane as they saw him arrested and his flesh savagely torn; but all was restored - except Judas.
ENCOURAGEMENT by fellow believers who the Lord sends our way is a strength and maybe reciprocated. They hold your hand; you hold theirs. Meaning that in your quiet times with Him, you meditate, worship, sing and lift them up.
TRIALS and troubles come daily into the life of the faithful. Abraham was a classic! His faith was stretched. 'For he considered it reasonable to believe that God was able to raise Isaac even from among the dead. Indeed, in the sense that he was prepared to sacrifice Isaac in obedience to God. Abraham did receive him back [from the dead] figuratively speaking.' Wearing the armour of faith he resisted the temptation to despair and obeyed God. {Hebrews 11:19 AMP}
CHILDREN of God, you have beautiful examples of victory in suffering in Hosea. He never despaired or let the enemy pull him into his lies and never lost his faith. Hosea's faith was stretched when he obeyed God. “Go, take to yourself a wife of harlotry and have children of harlotry;.." He looked ahead to a life together with God in eternity. {Hosea 1:2 AMP}.
HEARING or reading the Word and meditating on its truths must be a daily activity of every Christian. As you are stretched by life, you must resist despair. Feed on the Word and allow the Holy Spirit to fill you with joy and peace.
