She was a Christian and a volunteer with Operation Rescue. She couldn't help reflecting that Jesus too had wounds. His wounds were physical. The nail prints in his hands and feet were testimonies of the barbaric crucifixion he endured.
People who suffer harm by others carry wounds and pain that cannot be ignored. Ask any victim of spousal abuse, sex trafficking or a lifetime of immoral choices like abortion or prostitution. Abortion, in particular, wounds the unborn but as it turns out, it wounds the mother too. Many of her clients are living testimonies. In Operation Rescue, she meets with many.
“Operation Rescue engages in activities that it describes as "on the cutting edge of the abortion issue, taking direct action to restore legal personhood to the pre-born and stop abortion in obedience to biblical mandates."

When asked if these wounds can heal, her response is, “ Healing of soul wounds happen. An active process of releasing the pain or sin to Jesus and repentance. Ask Him for forgiveness and healing” she would emphasize to her students and clients.
‘Linking human wounds to Jesus’ wounds is relevant. Jesus’ wounds were for healing and it was a great choice that He made for the human race. In obeying His Father, He knew that by His Stripes, we his children would gain healing, salvation, redemption and be restored to sonship. We now had a way back. The death contract that Adam and Eve made with the serpent was now broken. Kingdom was regained. He knew that ‘by His stripes, we were healed’.
‘But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds, we are healed’. {Isaiah 53:5}
Her final words often sounded like this; “Let us not despair. There is healing and there is a Healer. His Name is Jesus!”

We cannot forget that fathers who push their girlfriends into abortions are also wounded. Many of them later regret what they did.
Praise God for Operation Rescue.
