Camouflage for vacant eyes
Ears that hear the lies
From the mouth blasting nonsense.
He hides his pain
In an outward façade,
Never revealing all of his cards.
Inside, the cry is piercing!
Tormented by thoughts,
The real lies of shame.
Never comfortable,
Unable to shed the costume.
What would people think,
If they saw the real him?
Never confident,
Questioning everyone’s intentions.
Seeking affirmation.
Always striving to hush
The cries from inside.
So, with folly and nonsense
He entertains the world.
Afraid to face the freedom
Of being a Child of Christ.
Proverbs 15:21-24 (KJV)
21-Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly.
22-Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.
23-A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
24-The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.
