Yes, it's all about grace, although sometimes we need to make the choice not to get offended. When we're prickly, it is so easy to misconstrue what another has said. That too, needs God's grace.

The "with gentleness and respect" is key! I got a little lost in the "he's" at the end of the last paragraph.
Faith wears well when it matches what Jesus said.

You have great examples of the need to watch our words. But I recognize in your writing style the same problem I have. Sentences that clutter rather than clarify and may not be needed. I wish I could be more specific in this critique, but I've just spent 5 hours trying to declutter my own piece - without much success. I take out one phrase but then add two more. I hope with practice we will become articulate communicators. I think your piece is worth spending time perfecting.
