Being a member of God’s army is serious business. It must not be treated as simply a Social Club. We have to be honest and accept the world can be a wild place with thorns and crevices awaiting us.
Christians in growing numbers are content with their lot. Go to church, throw a ten in the plate on Sunday and tell your kids not to swear. Yes, a good fat-cat member of the Christian community. It is very easy to listen intently to a treasure of Words from a Bible, while sitting in a comfortable pew.
Certainly well-meaning large “C” Christians enjoy attending church functions regularly, and walk proudly through “Born Again” alley, not realizing that Jesus, the Man Upstairs, as often referred to, is quietly taking notice.
There is a need for more labourers in the field and where are they? Perhaps they’re too tired after extra evenings listening to the latest flavour of a visiting Pastor. Such wonderful Biblical-based messages followed by a good night’s sleep. Now what to do about this heavenly knowledge?
Jesus wants people who not only get filled with the Holy Spirit again and again, year after year. But he wants bold Christians willing to step forth and share the strengths they have gained from innumerable times getting fed the Word.

Not so far away, perhaps just a few doors down the street, a mother waits for her son to come home. Last week the Police found him on the street pandering for drug monies. Only 14-years- old and not much of an example to a younger bro.
Her husband’s in bed snoring loudly from too many beers after work. Not much moola left for food. She has to wash and clean dishes at the Hotel tomorrow. Knees are in pain, money to gain. and two hungry boys to feed. Her sleepy eyes and she begins to rest on the living room couch, and not the most pleasant place for fulfilling dreams.
Do you live next door to a neighbourhood family who need your words of Love and Caring?

New Living Translation –Luke 10:2. And He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest.”

A couple of suggestions: Give your readers more white space. You have no spacing between paragraphs which makes the piece a daunting read right off the bat and may cause some readers to not even start. You may already know this, but you can preview the piece before you submit it. Look at the preview and add spacing and take the opportunity to proof it for any grammatical errors (there are a few); then go back to your original or the pasted copy and make some changes before you hit submit.
The other thing I would suggest is, with such limited space (750 words), I'd focus on one subject at a time--or tie the multiple subjects together, somehow, in your wrap-up and verse.
Again, you show good skills and your message is strong. Overall I'd say this is a fine piece that could just use a little tweaking.
Thanks for sharing!
