The sky on a bright cloudless day,
Ocean's gentle lapping at the edge of a bay,
A chattering wren's brilliance flitting here and there,
The sapphire ring offered with love and prayer.
“Remember” say flowers on a rosemary bush.
Dainty forget-me-nots bring a hush.
My mother's eyes, blue clothes she wore,
Her favourite colour 'til she was 'no more'.
As I recall her memory dear,
And wish that love was very near,
My memories will never cease,
While bluebells remind she is at peace.
Butterfly fragile on a bloom,
I spy the eye on a peacock plume,
A jellyfish floating on ocean stream,
Blueberries in a dish of cream.
How awesome is our Father Creator,
His handiwork displayed in nature,
Amazing variety assaults our eyes,
From giant whales to fireflies.
Take time today - consider His gifts,
Fluffy clouds or swooping swifts,
Enjoy the colours of every hue,
But I adore all shades of blue.
