When we attend the church of our choice each Sunday we "Talk the Talk" as a Christian with our singing and worshiping the Lord. We give praise and honor to our gracious and loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and listen to the message from God's Word, the Bible. As we worship together with other Christians our Bible tells us in Colossians 2:28, "Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:"

However, there is more to a Christian life than just attending our church, as we are told in Matt 28: 18-20. This is known as the Great Commission where our Lord Jesus tells us to go and teach all nations to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. So we are told to "Talk the Talk" to all we meet in our life here on the earth, as we serve the Lord.

We must also "Walk the Walk" everyday a 100% of the time to be prepared so we can minister the Gospel to reach the lost. When we leave our church, do we go back into the sinful world and blend into our workplace or our daily lifestyle so that we will not attract attention to ourselves as a Christian? Our friends and neighbors daily look at our life as they see us attend church regularly, but they may see little evidence that our life is much different than their worldly living.

Our Lord tells us not to be concerned if the world hates us as we read in John 15:19, " If ye were of the world, the world would love his own; but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world therefore the world hates you."

If we as Christians really want to serve our Lord Jesus Christ everyday, let us pray and ask our Lord for his guidance and the power to live a life that is pleasing to him, until that day he will call us home to be in heaven with him for eternity.

It is always easier to talk then walk. Walking takes effort and comittment.

While we hope it is common knowledge that the lives we lead correspond to our profession of faith (& calling as God's image-bearing ambassadors), it is often easy to be more conditioned by culture than transformed by Scripture. It's important to be repeatedly called to that self-examination. Thank you.

We are definitely called to stand apart, that's for sure!

I know there are times I don't always get it right, and I know this hurts my testimony, especially with those I am most trying to witness to.
