We always meet so many interesting people, from all over the world, and that is a welcome part of any train trip. A young lady came on the train in Portland , Oregon and was assigned a seat next to ours. After a while she started to read a book, so I said; I see you like to read and I would like to give you a newspaper column I write each week.
After she read the column, "Three Words We Hate To Hear" about lost, alone. rejected, she said that is so true. I would like to tell you the story of my life, as I have experienced all three of these situations. This trip is going home to my parents, in Seattle, Washington, that adopted me after my father died and my mother went to prison for using and selling drugs. My seven siblings and I were alone and felt rejected as young children, then this couple came forward and adapted all of us, so we could stay together. We never felt alone or rejected again as we were with a family that loved us. Would you believe this situation changed our lives forever.
This middle aged couple, that never had any children, loved us as their own and they said the Lord had blessed them with a large family. We went to church each week, something we had never done in our lives, and we came to know the gracious and loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We now had the answers to all three of the hated words, you wrote about, as the Lord became part of our everyday living experience and he saved us. We were no longer, " Lost, Alone or Rejected", as the Lord protected us in his loving arms provided by our adopted parents.
I was the youngest about two years old when this happened and the past year I have stayed with my oldest brothers family, as I completed high school. Now I am going back home to visit my parents that loved us so much over the years, as they are in their senior years. God has been so good to us and she smiled as she said, Yes, you can write my story in your column. I also gave here a copy of "Lens Lines" book and a pen with a flashlight in it that reads, "The Lord Is My Light and Salvation".
I praise the Lord everyday as he changes sinners lives and we become his servant. Our Bible tells us in John 3:17, " For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." If we put our Faith, Trust, and Hope in the Lord and ask him to come into our life, he is there to take us in his arms and we will never again feel, "Lost, Alone or Rejected".

There was one place that the word adaption should have been adoption. I noticed that you used a period instead of a question mark.
