Meet the perfects, a local suburban family swimming through the depths of Christianity on the shores of Americana. Every Sunday morning they don their perfect Sunday garb and make their way to church with their smiles that are reminiscent of mannequins. They never curse, and never in their life have they have had road rage when someone flips them off on their way to the local grocery mart. They always do the right thing according to the local pastor and the congregation, they are the epitome of Christianity.

And they are a family who makes Satan smile from ear to ear.

THEME: We think obedience is trying to looking like Christ, by placing on the "pre-requisites" of what a Christian looks like upon ourselves and others. It is a sad state of affairs that we think we have the power to fix ourselves. Christ knew we weren't perfect; being a Christian, obedience to God is a process, we BECOME (the word in the original context lends itself to an extended process of time). Obedience isn't looking like Christ, it is surrender pure and simple. It is giving the Sunday smiles up for His restorative grace to change us. We can't, we mustn't think we can or we give into the lie that satan started a long time ago. So surrender already!
