“Oh, I know it is!” Thaddeus exclaimed.
“So, what do you say? You wanna stick with these ole gypsies or go out on your own?” the gypsy asked knowing that this blind orphan had been living on his own since he was just a small child.
“If it be alright, sir, I would very much like to go to the king’s table,” he replied.
“Aye! Of course, you do! Look here, miss,” the gypsy turned to a local maiden, “Where might be the king’s table?”
“Oh, my,” the maiden replied with pleasant surprise, “if you don’t know, that means you are guests of the king. Welcome to the kingdom!” Suddenly, Thaddeus and the gypsies found that they were being escorted by throngs of citizens into the great hall.
Unable to make sense out of all the noise, Thaddeus just waited for someone to speak to him. Then he heard a new voice announce, “All are welcome at the king’s table. There is a place for each one of you.”
The gypsy lifted Thaddeus, “Look here, Thaddeus. This card has your name on it.” Before he could reply, the gypsy set him into a plush dining chair. “You smell that? That’s the smell of the finest food this ole gypsy ever laid eyes on. There’s a plate here just for you. I bet you never tasted anything like this in your whole life.”
“No, sir. I know I haven’t.”
“Well, don’t wait. Eat up!”
Thaddeus inhaled deeply, enjoying every aspect of his meal. Slowly, he reached his hand toward the food. He felt a fluffy bread roll, broke off a piece and placed it on his tongue. Closing his eyelids, he let the bread melt in his mouth. Ready for another bite, Thaddeus opened his eyelids. But instead of reaching for another piece of bread, he just stopped and stared in amazement.

I did stumble over some of the sentences. A good thing to do is to ask someone to read the story aloud and if they stumble, then you might want to restructure that sentence.
You covered the topic in a fun and intriguing way. This is a delightful read. good job.
