I often wondered why my life was destined to be this way? Why did God see fit for me to go through these terrible days and nights as a child? I never really understood why it had to be my family. My friends didn’t understand. Sure they felt bad for me, but they couldn’t understand what we were going through. A lot of nights I cried out to the Lord for help. I didn’t realize it then, but now I know that God did not leave me. He was always beside me protecting me or I would not be here today.
I look back now and realize that it was a growing experience. I am a much stronger person than I probably would have been. I know that I am definitely a better mother than I would have been had I not gone through what I did. I also can now relate to other people who come from the same background. I can talk to kids who are troubled and assure them that everything will be okay as long as they allow the Lord to be in control.
As much as I went through and as it hard as it seemed, it was nothing compared to what Jesus went through for you and I. He was born into this world, lived and died for us so that we might have life with him. Now that is how you spell LOVE.

This piece shows you have an obvious talent to write and I really don't mean this to be negative. I just felt as I read that a very talented person was writing this and the creation of this was stunted for some reason.
The line..."A lot of nights I cried out to the Lord for help", kinda GOT to me.
I LIKE the fact that you're getting through your difficulties usoing positive means like relating to others who come from the same background.
It's never easy, but I like the fact that you can write about it in such an expressive and positive way.
Keep writing. You'll find that it can be quite a catharsis.
