When I think about this topic, it makes me wonder what the first man on earth experienced upon awakening from the dust. Was he scared in his surroundings? Did he feel alone, or confused where he lay? Was God present with him to comfort him when he took his first breath? If we think about that concept, it seems to take on an entire new meaning for all.
In the first book of the Bible Genesis it shows the very creation of man. It shows all how the first man was created from the dust of the Earth. This man God named Adam, and he was the first of his kind; the original mold for all human life.
Man would be nothing without that first breath, that first body, that first eye opening experience. As a matter of fact, the human race would never have existed at all. We all tend to shrug off the notion that we were created by extraordinary means, and when we view ourselves as a baby in our mother's arms, we all tend to believe that life has always been created this way. Do we really ever stop to think about the first creation of man? Do we even consider the intricate work that went into bringing this first man Adam into existance? Do most, with their limited ability to grasp the mere concept of life, ever really realize that without creation ever taking place, we would cease to be?
Scientists believe in Evolution. Creationist believe in God weaving the handiwork of man, and woman. Which theory is correct? Will we ever really know? I beleive we all know within our heart just exactly how we all came to be. Some will argue that we were here all along, but most will tell you they were created by a loving Father in Heaven who decided He wanted someone to love, and care for so the world would be filled.
I cannot imagine how this first man felt upon awakening from the dust, nor would I want to sepculate just how that must have been for him. Can you even begin to imagine how the world looked to him upon waking up. So big, so new, and so beautiful. I wouldn't have known where to start my journey's there. Seeing the world, and my creator for the first time would have been such a profound experience. So, the next time you think about "The First, The Original" remember Adam, who gave us all our start.
First Fruits of Life
When you awake each morning
And see sun shining through
Think about your origins
You're the only one like you
Were we all created?
Or were we raised up from the Sea?
Will we ever know our origins,
Or how we came to be?
Original, and so Unique
In our own peculair way
Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust
We all came to be, this way.
Our creator had a plan
When forming the first man
He filled the Earth by Adam
Gave Eve to hold his hand
The first fruits of this planet
Did not come from the Sea
God's handiwork took precedence
That's how we came to be.
