Protocol mandated she bring a dance card filled with those she found to be champion material. There was only one; The One who could spin her around the dance floor with one hand while staving off anyone who dared to trip her up.
She had to admit, there had been a few who caught her eye and ear with flash and flattery and caused her a mis-step or two but she learned to find the melody written just for her, and each time she found it she would sing her own words back to Him, moving closer to Him for a victory dance.
She was overwhelmed knowing all her scars, her sins, her selfishness were sealed in the splendor of His blood red robe. As He came to the dance floor, only He could wear a garment so violent and supernaturally beautiful at the same time. The glory of His likeness shone all around so bright, she could not see where to walk, much less begin to dance, only by faith, did she find her footing. This was a dance proclaiming promises and as she danced with abandoned joy, her striking garments of praise billowed.
A majestic never heard chorus filled her heart and mind. He was singing to her like thunder! The words slowly recognizable amid the music that pounded in her chest. Overcome by the power of His Voice, she ended her dance prostrate among angels. Silence fell like a cloak. Caught in the sudden quiet she leaned in hard to hear- “The Lord your God is with you as a hero who will save you. I will rejoice over you with singing.” (scripture reference Zephaniah 3:17)
