The Door to Resurrection

Floating in the air
In a beautiful blue bowl
Of Winter sky
Is a door
Hanging between Heaven
And Earth.

It is a huge dark-wood
Door
Covered with elaborate
Carvings
Of the Lamb
And the Cross.

And in the center
Raying out
From corner to corner
Is the Sun
Symbol
Of the Father.

There is death
On one side of the door
And life through to the other
And a Guardian of the threshold
Who waits to admit.

Winter approaches the Guardian
And passes through
The opened door of resurrection
To become again and again
As Spring.

And the Guardian
Sees the souls of the dead
Winter cold and lifeless
Approaching the opened door
And smiles.

For I am
The door
If any enter in
They shall be saved
For I am
The resurrection
The Spring of eternal life.

An no one
No one
Approaches the Father
But by Me.

I like this very much. Interesting meter, brings lots of images to mind. Good job!

Very creative and thought-provoking. I think if you place a few of the line breaks differently, it will flow better. Lovely imagery!

The meditations in this free verse are so filled with hope. Beautiful! I liked the thought that winter and death is on this side of the door and spring and life on the other. I also liked the description of the door and the "beautiful blue bowl of winter sky".
