Topic: LOVE (11/18/21)
Recently, I was thinking of the scripture, John 3:16 “For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” This scripture verse I learned since I was in Sunday School as a child. I had to know it by heart, and I can say it from my heart to this day.

It is known to many as the golden text in the Bible and the most profound verse because it is the Love of God expressed to Adam’s fallen race.
It is a pardon to those who will believe it and receive it as a pardon.

It is our attitude towards John 3:16 that will determine our destination--eternal Life or damnation. For God so loved the world when He looked down upon man and saw how lost man was. In His heart, He grieved, and He vowed that He would redeem man from his fallen state. God became flesh in the man Christ Jesus and suffered and died for man’s redemption. What manner of love that the Father has for us! The songwriter exclaimed:
E’er since by faith, I saw the stream thy flowing wounds supply, redeeming love has been my theme And shall be till I die.
We can never comprehend the love of God. It is beyond our comprehension we can only believe and receive it. As the poet said: “The Love of God is greater far than tongue or pen can ever tell. It goes beyond the highest star and reaches to the lowest hell...”

I heard this testimony some time ago, and it was from the person that had the experience. It was beautiful to listen to the love of God displayed. The preacher said he was praying for the sick in his congregation when an old blind man came for prayer. As the man approached him, he realized that the man was blind, and as he looked at him, he saw the clothes he wore were old, and his coat was ragged. No shoes on his feet, and as he stood there, he felt sorry for him. He drew near to him to see if his coat could fit him, and he also checked to see if his shoes could fit him. He thought how Life had been cruel to him. He thought of his daddy that he would have been around the same age as him. Then the man laid his head on his shoulder, and he threw his arms around him. And something happened that moment. He loved the man and began to pray for mercy. Then suddenly, he heard the man shout, Glory Adios! And the people started to scream. Then he noticed that the man could see.

Amazing Grace! God heals by love.

That’s a great story. I would have lingered longer, relived the wonderous miracle had... say a few things; the Pastor had a name.? A bit of dialogue to make it 3D?

This is a lovely devotion with a clear message and is definitely on topic. Be careful about POV shifts. Instead perhaps tell the story from your POV instead of the minister's. Also make sure you properly credit songs, poems, and others' words with quotation marks, title, and name. You can do this in an author's note. You have a lot of passion in your words and I look forward to reading more of your work.
