He was the only one who could take our sins away from us. No angel could do it since angels are not human. A human could not take away sin since every person who ever lived is infected with a sin nature and therefore would not be able to take away the sins of others. The only remedy for sin was Jesus Himself, since He could and did take away our sin from us and declare us not guilty.
All of us who have been saved by God’s grace should be grateful to God all the time for His blessings. He gave us everything we have, including life itself. He gives us what we need, not always what we want. Often, we want things that would ruin our lives if we received them. So God gives us something better. Sometimes when something happens and we think it is terrible, God is giving us something that we need in our life to make us more like Him.
Jesus endured suffering on the cross so we could be with Him in heaven. He does not want us to be separated from God for all eternity. He wants us to enjoy being with Him just like Adam and Eve enjoyed His presence before the fall of man. God sent His son to earth to live with men, and Jesus was both God and man while He was here on earth.
After His resurrection and ascension, He sent the disciples His Holy Spirit to be with them and with us and to help us through this life. He wants us to remember that He will never leave us nor forsake us. (Heb. 13:5) We know as well He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Heb. 13:8) So He will always do what is best for us!
