Many times we just want to rush ahead and follow our own path, but is that the best thing to do? Do we seek out God during those times and ask Him His desire? His ways are so much greater then we could ever think.
There are times that I have been made to wait and when I could not understand why, I still chose to remain faithful to God. I knew that He would complete His will in my life.
My husband and I had desired a child and because of health issues it seemed it was impossible. John and I still trusted in God’s word and three years later I was able to get pregnant. It was a true miracle! Through much prayer and pleading and at the age of forty- one I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. (There is more to that story, but that is for another time).
You see waiting can be a good thing and going ahead can cause the train to derail. That does not mean it will not come to pass. If it is truly from God it may just be delayed. There is God’s timing and there is our timing, but our timing can be faulty.
Sometimes we go too fast, sometimes to slow, but God’s timing is perfect.
