Then have a heart that does not give.
Along the way and on the cross,
He gave His all to save the lost.
If being rich thy quest would be
Give all you have and follow Me.
For all you have came from above
For you to share because you love.
The man who gives to those who lack
The very shirt upon his back,
Has on his mind what God had done
When God gave him His only Son.
To give to get is not of love
And reflects not the Light above.
For real gifts have no strings attached
And never are they taken back.
For if like Him one wants to be
Then one must give generously.
Not only with his things of Earth,
But things that have eternal worth.
One can not serve both God and gold.
By one with much this lesson showed.
The one you choose for which you live
Will be made known by how you give.
