When I was 13, I developed acne. I hated it, and Dad always told me not to eat too many sweet stuff. Even though I entered teen-hood, I still went out for Halloween. I went to several house, and I received candy. My parents made me wash my face with soap and water. I never used any cleansers that were specifically for acne.
When I was a bit younger my mother went on how messy my room was, and I felt like saying, "Get of my case.." I remember saying, "okay mom. I will clean my room. She was on my case for 10 minutes. Hearing her nag at me was like having a bunch of flies buzzing in my hair.
Whenever I went to church on Sunday morning or to youth group, I never had anybody criticize me for the way I looked or wore my hair. I felt like I could be myself, sing songs, and study the bible.
