As a bunhead, I have seen much wanting to “get there” without laying the proper foundation. What results is, at best, weak technique lacking in grace and fluidity, and, at worst, dangerous ways of execution that may result in physical injury. Sorry, but there are no shortcuts. Correctness, beauty and freedom of movement are achieved only by years of hard work and study. A properly prepared foundation yields a seasoned instrument that is well prepared for the task at hand.
What about a believer in Jesus who does not take the time and exercise the discipline to build a strong foundation in the Word of God, or get to know the Lord by spending time with Him? Just as in the analogy of the bunhead, the results are weakness, error, danger, injury, or collapse.
The Lord instructs us to be rooted and grounded in Him if we are to be disciples. A disciple is an imitator, a learner, indeed an apprentice. We must be disciplined by His instruction and in His ways thus assuring that our foundation will be strong, and that we will stand in the day of adversity.
“But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.” (Luke 6:46 – 49 NKJV)

I love Ballet, and must confess I took it as a young adult, I loved it for the little while I did take it.
I love watching ballet and I certainly respect the discipline that goes along with ballet.
Your message and word was clearly defined and you did a great job of connecting your discipline into the discipline of God's Word.
Well done!
Blessings~
