Topic: Appointment (02/09/12)
I’m always in a hurry
Without fail arriving late.
If someone’s already there
They’ll just have to wait.

I have made arraignments
To meet at a certain place.
You have shown great patience
When I’m in sad disgrace.

I’ve lost concentration
No ability to think.
I stumble all around
Coming closer to the brink.

Can somebody save me
I’m drowning in despair?
I hear no volunteers
Not one soul seems to cares.

I sit here lamenting
Tears falling down like rain.
The echoes in my vacant room
Drive me quite insane.

I’ve blown off another meeting
Will power I have none.
I sorely need a conference
With the Holy One.

For your faults you are forgiven
This is His gift to man.
When I think that I can’t
He proves to me I can.

He gave me a position.
One of high esteem.
Only Angels slightly higher.1
Now I’m on His team.

He’s hired me for the position
Of chairman if you will.
Tenderly He demonstrates.
His love for me is real.

All that He asks of me
Is that I do my best.
He’ll help me to be on time
But I must do the rest.

I have made an improvement
I finally arrive on time.
He has gave me confidence
But says the credit’s mine.

He promoted me suggesting
I’m doing all I can.
I work with Him I’m born again ,
He’s made me a righteous man.

This is really lovely and I could totally relate.
At times the rhymes seemed a tad forced and the rhythm off a tad but I know how hard it is to master those things. Your message was beautiful and one I really need to be reminded of.
