A word and prayer I must afford.
Up and shower, make-up on,
Household chores, quick, nearly done.
Tonight for dinner, what’s to cook?
Check the emails, have a look.
Make a coffee, take a break,
Just a tiny piece of cake.
In the study lots to do,
Filing tray will take a few.
Cats and dog would like a brush,
Do it gently, must not rush.
Plants are looking slightly dry,
Spray and water, time goes by.
Phone a friend who isn’t well,
Write a letter, ah, there’s the bell.
Janie’s here, she’s only three,
Come and sit on nanna’s knee.
Time for lunch and news at one,
What a morning, so much fun!
Bit of mending, stitch and sew,
A row of knitting, make it grow.
Phone is ringing, wonder who…
Invite for party, woo hoo, woo hoo.
Now the postman, what’s he got?
Parcels, letters, quite a lot!
Must get hair cut, ring up dresser,
Appointment next week, couldn’t be better.
Let’s get some shopping, go in the car,
Supermarket brilliant but set quite far.
Must go online and look for a dress
Going to a wedding, out to impress!
Jesus, I love you, so glad I know…
That you have called me to grow and grow …….
Cell group tonight, better get ready,
Proverbs and Wisdom, keep me steady.
Can’t get ironing in, cupboard is full,
This is a hate job, diligence the rule.
The holiday balance is due today,
Get onto that one right away!
Got a new TV and DVD too,
Jesus of Nazareth, review, review!
Chicken casserole, won’t take long
Jacket and veggies, feed the throng.
How was your day dear, everything good?
Good to be home now, eating the food.
Sharing and chatting, family together,
Too much to say, never mind the weather.
Journey to study our theme of the week,
Such a good bible group willing to seek.
Prayers for the hungry and broken and sick,
What can we do to help healing quick?
We are so privileged, chosen and special
Up close and personal in Jesus we nestle.
Back home and weary, time now for bed,
All has been done and all has been said.
Each moment must be treasured,
God’s love can ne’er be measured.
Thank you for life, your gift to me.
And thank you for Jesus, eternally!
