The talking heads on my t.v.
Regale the world with destiny
That relegates the Word of God
To empty, dated, useless sod.
They fill their lungs with God's free gift,
Then set the innocent adrift;
With every lying exhalation
Deny the need for their salvation.
Breathing in and breathing out,
They gather to themselves the clout
To waft upon the worldwide air
The portal to the Devil's lair.
One hears upon a vesper wind,
"The world is coming to an end
because of man's insane pollution.
The talking heads have a solution;
"Come together, be as one -
There is no Father, Spirit, Son.
Love the earth, make her our Queen
And of our lives we shall be King."
The Father hears this evil rant
And the desperate,fearful pant
Of the ones He chose to cherish;
But instead, they choose to perish.
Heavenly Father, breathe on me
With power now to help them see
That Your truth is still the same,
That to save us Jesus came.
The breath of life is in Your hand,
And with victory we must stand
Against the wheezing kiss of death.
Oh! To take a living breath!
