It was a cold blistery early morning in late November when the newly elected President took to the airwaves. He announced that after sound consideration from his advisers and world leaders, that our only hope to avoid financial collapse and severe depression like as we have never ssen before would be to join the "One World" government community as other countries in Europe had done.
Here is an exert from His speech:
"This morning I bring good news to all Americans everywhere. But 1st let me set the stage for this groundbreaking historic announcement.
For centuries we have dominated as the world's strongest economic, military, and political power and had things our own way. Be that as it may we find ourselves facing a national debt that is insurmountable and a financial holocaust that is enevitable if we do not act quickly to salvage some of the America we have all come to love.
I realize now that no amount of money we might throw at the current situation will rectify our dilemna. It is with a heavy heart that I bring this news to you today for I truly had sought to bring great change to our people.
However, there remains a wonderful and viable solution that will eliminate all our woes and place us at the head of the table in world's economy and affairs once again.
I have spoken to the leaders of the world and they agree with me that it is time for us all to lay aside our differences and come together as ONE, a United Kingdom as it were, to bring about health and prosperity to all nations and all peoples in a united effort. We are all members of this world. We must care for one another as each person's faith has dictated and commanded us to do. We must become One People to suceed and prosper.
Therefore, I, the Congress, and the Judiciary have agreed that it is in our best interest, to join with our brothers and sisters around the world, in a concerted effort to solve the problems of this planet we live on. Only together can we bring about the true change that is needed for all peoples. I know you will agree with me that it is better to relinquish some soveriegnity, than to lose all we have gained as a mighty nation and face alone the inevitable collapse to come.
Brighter days are ahead of us now and we can all finally rest easy and be assured that we as a leading nation of this new unified world shall survive and prosper greatly once again.
Thank you and God bless the United American Region of The United Kingdom and the citizens of the world who now become our partners."
And thus The End of the late great USA!

I'm afraid it might be considered "off topic", as the theme "United Kingdom" was to refer to the UK on the map--England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland.
It will help your reader if you put an extra space between paragraphs.
This is suspenseful and fascinating, and well worth expanding! Thanks!
I love to think out of the box and therefore appreciate the grand sweep of your writing. I like the authentic tone to the presidential pronouncements and the eerie possibilities you've conjured up. Interestingly I have also explored a similar theme, one that you are welcome to examine once the results have been published.
My main reservation is a political one. A Kingdom by definition has a king or a queen. And I don't realistically see the US agreeing to submit to the rule of a world-wide monarch. Perhaps a different term: united states is already taken as is united nations - maybe simply the Union? In similar vein I suspect that your title should have read 'United Kingdom of the World.'
All the best for your next entry - this quarter certainly isn't for the faint of heart
