Thieves and robbers try any way but the door.
These, the ones which steal, kill, destroy and more.
The ones which the shepherd will keep at bay.
Unless he’s a hireling and runs away.
David like Jesus, they keep their sheep safe.
Anyone seeing them would not think they are waif.
David, protected from lions and bears.
Jesus protects from Satan’s worldly wares.
The sheep, they know their shepherd by his voice.
They won’t follow another, that’s good choice.
The shepherd knows them and calls them by name.
Jesus has more sheep, knows them all the same.
David, called a man after God’s own heart.
Jesus, the Son a sacrifice, God’s part.
Jesus, the Good Shepherd to his sheep.
Laid down his own life and never a peep.
No one took it, he laid it down; gifted.
Because he took it up again; lifted.
The Good Shepherd making all one fold.
Things never go back to the ways of old.
The love of Father; commandment given.
Through the love of God, are you forgiven?
I hope you get saved, before saved is gone.
And me, lead on my Good Shepherd, lead on.
