weather in turmoil,
such as a cyclone brings,
a disaster of huge proportions.
A storm in a teacup is a saying
referring to a minor problem
of little consequence,
that can be solved by man.
Soldiers storm a target
to remove a threat
they may cause more problems
and not help others yet.
Troops stormed the trenches
in World War one fame,
many lost their lives,
and even their name.
The unknown soldier
with pageant and fame,
was interred in Westminster
Abbey without a name.
A storm wild at sea
causes ships to be lost,
a watery grave into
which they are tossed.
A storm of thick dust
obliterated the road,
on an outback track
where aborigines strode.
They hunted goannas
to them a tasty snack,
when the dust cleared
on the Aussie outback.
A cyclonic storm raged
across the US and Caribbean,
made towns into shambles
and littered and arrived unseen.
North Australia has cyclones
alphabetically named,
causing great damage,
of our summer fame
Cyclone watchers ride
after the storm,
caring not for destruction,
that is the norm.
A storm in the mind
is a serviceman's lot,
post-traumatic depression,
causes losing the plot.
Jesus calmed the storm
with an authoritative word.
He can give peace
when life's storms stirred.
