And soon all those around
Can warm up in its glowing
That’s how it is with Gods love
Once you’ve experienced it
You’ll want to pass it on…
These words are the lyrics of a very beautiful song, conveying a message of how easy it is to perpetuate the love of our heavenly father—often with just a smile.
Similarly, the destructive forest fires in California, are always started by a small spark. The resulting fires left unattended soon gets out-of-hand engulfing thousands of acres leaving a path of destruction--even the loss of precious lives. Not to mention, the irreplaceable loss of flora and fauna.
Likewise, in the book of James the Bible warns of a small member of the human body that no man can tame—"It’s an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.†(James 3:8) “It has the power to speak both life and death.†(Proverbs 18:21) The untamed tongue “setteth on fire the course of nature.†(James 3:6). One word, spoken at the wrong time and place, if not quickly corrected can have adverse consequences, leaving a trail of hurt, and embarrassment that may take years to recover from. Saying sorry cannot always undo the damage.
The majestic “king of the Beast,†the Elephant weighing over ten thousand pounds, a Tiger and so many other animals have been tamed and trained to obey commands. But this unruly member has started major wars, broken up relationships, divided homes, and families, and continues to create chaos in our world.
However, as the raging fires are fought by local firefighters, so too, the wise—endued with knowledge displayed by good conversations, can not only control the tongue but the whole body. (James 3:2,13).
On another note, it’s been four years since I’ve been trying to grow a lawn. But, as I look at my front yard, I still see unwanted vegetation trying to overtake my lawn. I sowed Perennial Ryegrass, but where did all this crab-grass come from?
Furthermore, as I conclude I think about all the white house scandals, the sexual harassment allegations, terrorist attacks and the increasing number of church shootings; no wonder “Millennials†say, “people are off the hook, they’re crazy and on the wild side.â€

You do put good Bible verses together, though, to make a point.
For me personally, it was a bit scattered. You put too much information in. I think it would have been more powerful if you just stuck to fire and expanded on the ways fire can get out of hand. I went back to count the different themes from the song to fire to the body to words to animals to crabgrass to white house scandals and back to fire. That's a lot to pack into a short article. You've got a great idea here. I think you doubted yourself and ended up overcompensating. Trust yourself.
You've got a great message and your words will touch many hearts. Also be careful about using song lyrics. Because they are so short, there could be copyright infringement. Also, if you do use lyrics that are in the public domain, make sure the words are in quotation marks and you include the names of the song and the composer.
Congratulations on ranking 3rd in your level. Keep writing and spreading the word about God's love.
Don't forget to acknowledge the author (in this case Kurt Kaiser) in your piece. Laster, as you are published, there are copywrite laws.
God bless - Trudy
