Bold fragrances greet me at my front door.
Roses and lilies, yellow and pink, displaying themselves without shame. Window boxes of trailing evergreens of many hues and pink lady slippers flaunt their beauty for all to see.

They are real and so alive and they give pleasure and joy for the duration of their lives. Despite the work that it takes to nurture them, I consider it all a great pleasure.

Once you live with the real the fake will not impress. My local dollar store displays stalls of gaudy man made creations. Colours are bright but they are fake. They do not need air, water or care
and do not attract my attention.

On my kitchen table sits a bowl of fragrant apples, pears, mangoes and oranges. I reach out my hand; soon mouthfuls of juice flow unhindered into me.

Imagine another scene of look-alike fruits set out to decorate, but you do not dare to bite. There are no juices here!

I see a lesson here. God gave real fruits and flowers and He gave us a Real Saviour. As The Way, The Truth and The Life, Christ shines Light into our darkened souls. One second in His Presence changes a life forever, and all that went before will seem mundane and false.

Many worship gods with evil power. Given false hope for futures without joy or love and built on cruel lies. Knowing the Truth helps us to recognise the fakes. The Bible is not artificial. It is The Real, the Real Truth.

As a Man, Jesus came to live on earth two thousand years ago and showed us how to live and love. With Real Love, He taught us to love our God with all our heart, soul and mind and to love our neighbours. The beauty of His fragrance is love. He was not and is not fake. He performed miracles that all could see and truly lived after he died and rose from the dead.

The Holy Spirit has come and remains as Jesus promised. Daily He brings healing and abundant fruit which empower us to live as Sons of God.

This is really quite delightful. I enjoyed how you told a portion of your life in the beginning. It made it easy to relate and pulled me in.

You have quite a few spots where you are missing commas, and for me, capitalizing the first letter of every word related to God distracts me from your beautiful message. This is just my opinion, but those extra caps feel like you're trying too hard to make it important. You don't need to do that because you have such a wonderful way with your words. Technically, the experts even say you don't need to cap God pronouns, but since some people feel strongly about that, most leave it up to the author.

You did a great job of writing on topic in a fresh (just a little pun intended) and fun way. Add a Scripture and prayer and you will have a powerful devotion. If you've never written any for FW daily devotions, I'd urge you to do so. You have a wonderful gift. I see great things happening with your writings.
