With heavy hopes carried in cart
Sailing streams in life carelessly
At wit´s end we’re steered to your heart
Monstrous waves toss to sitting clouds
Dragon winds pull to deepest parts
Oh, such trepidation allowed
At wit´s end we’re steered to your heart
No more safely sleeping in berth
Between the devil and sea´s charts
In thy word we put all our worth
At wit´s end we´re steered to your heart
Manropes nor helm save our senses
Cries of final destiny start
Promised prayers for our defenses
At wit´s end we´re steered to your heart
Almighty word stills high waters
Reflections on your gracious art
Saving all your sons and daughters
At wit´s end we´re steered to your heart
Now steadfast anchor deters drifts
Love flickers light and fear departs
Buoyant words are thy loving gifts
At wit´s end we´re steered to your heart
Oh Most Merciful Admiral
Navigate us past stormy darts
To trust and know thy perfect will
At wit´s end we´re steered to your heart
¨Others went out on the sea in ships; they were merchants on the mighty waters. They saw the works of the Lord, His wonderful deeds in the deep. For He broke and stirred up a tempest that lifted high the waves. They mounted up to the heavens and went down to the depths; in their peril their courage melted away. They reeled and staggered like drunken men; they were at their wit´s end. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. They were glad when it grew calm. And He guided them to their desired haven. ¨ Psalm 107: 23-30
