“Sally, the tests all reveal that you have Endometriosis,” Doctor Ellen said in a gentle bed-side manner.
“What is Endometriosis, doctor?” Sally asked.
Doctor Ellen explained, “Endometriosis is a female health disorder that occurs when cells from the lining of the uterus grow in other areas of the body. In your case, Sally, you have two rather large endometrial masses encapsulating both ovaries. These masses need to be removed. I suggest performing a hysterectomy sooner, rather than later.”
Sally’s mind froze. Looking down at her stomach she said, “I thought we would be together forever. I dreamed of having at least one child.”
In 2002, as Sally was surfing the internet, she stumbled upon and joined a Christian support website full of women, and a few men, who struggled with infertility and childlessness just as she did. For the first time since her hysterectomy in 1992, she found a community; a home of understanding.
In this website community, postings of life struggles and achievements, silly thoughts and stories, as well as stories and pictures of pets are shared. The blessed parts about the website are the bonds of friendships that form as lives, coming from all directions around the globe, end up moving in formation on the same type of path.
Being new to the website, Sally posted her thoughts one day, releasing anger and bitter emotions as she typed about what she did not have because she was not a mother. And then the response that shaped her thinking showed up on the site sent from Diane, one of the co-founders.
“God does not make mistakes; He has a special purpose for you. Don’t look back and dwell on what you do not have, the best is yet to come.”
Surely the comment written by Diane had to have been God-breathed; Sally found a peace in her life that surpasses all human understanding from the day she read those words.
Sally cannot go a day without saying, “God is good, all the time; all the time, God is good.”

The only thing you might want to consider is instead of using all tag lines like she said, is to describe the speaker's actions. For example "What is that?" Sally held her breath, as she looked into her doctor's eyes. It helps paint a picture for the reader.
You touched my heart with your words. Having a baby is something many women look forward to and having that option taken away is really difficult. I know this piece will help many people to start the healing process.
