Topic: This Side of Paradise (not about the book) (07/14/11)
The Ultimate Journey.
We live in an ever shrinking world resulting in ease of international and local travel experiences. Entire dedicated travel programmes are beamed into our homes and ultimately into our subconsciousness, where we contemplate the exhilaration of travel and before we realize it, we find ourselves in crowded air, bus or train terminals, either coming or going with what appears to be everyone else on the planet. In most cases the actual preparation and build up is an exciting prelude to the actual journey.
The journey of our lives can be complex yet exciting as we experience the presence of our Heavenly Father as our travelling companion with His promise that He will do much more than carry our luggage, as we read in our travel log, more specifically known as the Bible.
We all find ourselves this side of paradise as there is a definite prerequisite before we can take that final journey. Our short lived existence here on earth must be terminated, our passport and visa must be validated before we can embark on our ultimate journey.
I am excited by the prospect, even if at times I may be concerned about the unknown subject we also refer to as “Heaven”, however, I am also encouraged by the words of Jesus on the occasion he raised this subject with his disciples.
The Disciples of Christ were very concerned at the timeline that had been laid out to them concerning Jesus’ future: he would die, be buried, be resurrected, and then return to heaven. Not understanding the complete picture of Christ’s mission, they were understandably sad at the revelation that he was going to leave them. But in John 14: 1-2, He gives them an awesome, comforting truth: “Let not your hearts be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” [NKJV].
WOW.... that is the best itinerary confirmation I have ever had, heaven is on standby and waiting, the preparations are complete.
Can you visualise the sign? “Welcome to Paradise!”. It’s the ultimate destination, this is “IT.” Nowhere on earth can compare. It’s not just a getaway, once you have experienced the, “out of this world facilities”, you will discover why those who choose paradise call it their heart’s true home.

Gleaming new homes with a comprehensive eternal warranty. Family and friends who are known for their love, joy and celebration. Management and staff who ensure your every need is fulfilled. Life without night, sadness, sickness or death and the opportunity to bask in the undiluted presence of the love of God forever. You will never need to carry a wallet or credit card, everything has already been paid for. All you need to do is make the choice to come . Your new dream home, cherished family and best friends will be waiting for you when you arrive.
There is room for everyone, so we hope you will invite others to come along with you.
In Heaven everything you do will result in perfect satisfaction having never to engage in anything that leaves you with an empty feeling or the perception that you are not quite up to the expected standard, everything you do will bring absolute fulfilment and joy, answering the deepest longing of your heart. Heaven is the only place where you can finally experience the joy of the completeness for which you were created, removing all doubt and fear, either real or imagined.
God created all of us with a deep seated hunger within our spirits for Himself and for Heaven, and it can never be satisfied by any other means. No matter what we try, even as believers, as much as we serve and worship the Lord, our hearts still yearn for something more.
Paradise is Heaven. Reservations are unlimited, but time is running out, confirm your reservation today as Jesus instructed His Disciples, “.....You believe in God , believe also in Me”.

I like the way you did this in clear terms everyone will be able to understand and want to go there. It is beautiful in more ways than one .

Agreed! You painted a picture of "that" side that was so appealing, it makes you want to make sure your visa is ready (or glad it already is. I think asthetically, a blank line before each new paragraph would have made the read flow easier. Overall, very nicely done.
