So seldom that I feel
Wanting things I cannot have
Forgetting what is real
Standing at the open door
I knock and it slams closed
I walk away as is the norm
I Felt I was apposed
Sat, I pondered, while my head
Was swirling round my chest,
Surely doing all I must
Should lead me to my best?
Asking why I had not faith
For dreams to step outside
My Father said, Abide, not hide
I AM!... right here at your side.
My constant role of mother,
Wife, daughter, handmaid too
Most blessed calling on my life,
Meets failure without You!
Into dawn I am walking on
With hopes of dreams of truth
Chance to breathe in each last day
Without the need of proof
Taking in the open air
That I don't need to feel
Forgetting things I cannot have
Wanting what is real.
